Petrol hikes are a sore point. Nobody likes fuelling up (it's a necessary evil, right?) and frustrations at the pump have been rife of late.
An increase in duty and the new 20% VAT has bumped the price of UK fuel considerably, with the national average now clocking in at 128.54p for unleaded and 133.21p for diesel.
Good news, however, comes from chancellor George Osborne, who is considering scrapping the 1p fuel duty rise which was planned for April.
